This is some of the first buffalo of the year we will be offering this season, the buffalo is an awesome fall Montana Buffalo hide nice thick hair all the way around dark edges creamy colored thick long haried mane. The hide is about 5 feet long and almost 6 1/4 feet wide and will be over 32 square feet and it is gorgeous. There were some holes on the back side that were sewn up at the tannery and are not noticeable from the front they were well sewn up and there is a couple really tiny dime sized holes not sewn, and the hide has one tiny half dollar sized bald spot that if combed you wont see it its not really even close to noticeable or a distraction since the hair is long but I try and be as honest as possible. Now buffalo have very thick leather that is shaved and its soft and pliable but not as soft as a rabbitt hide and its common that the leg areas are a little stiffer, they are excellent rugs wall hangings and I use one when I go camping keeps me nice and warm. The hides are tumbled in sawdust or corn cob grits to pull out excess moisture and its nearly impossible to get it all out but we do what we can.
