Album You are bidding on a original rolled , not a reprint FRIDAY THE 13TH movie poster. Friday the Thirteenth, the classic 1980 Sean S. Cunningham slasher horror mystery thriller ("They were warned... They are doomed... And on Friday the 13th, nothing will save them."; "A 24 hour nightmare of terror."; "You'll wish it were only a nightmare..."). The film stars Betsy Palmer, Adrienne King, Harry Crosby, Laurie Bartram, Mark Nelson, Jeannine Taylor, Robbi Morgan, Kevin Bacon, and Ari Lehman (as Jason Voorhees). This poster features Alex Ebel artwork. This poster my source bought directly from the studio Paramount Pictures more than 15 years ago . This poster and many others were purchased directly from Paramount Pictures Studio after they contacted him (they were referred to him by David Hammocker the owner at the time of Western Graphics a poster company in Oregon) when Paramount's so called "Special Effects" catalog which had a original movie poster section , when this studio venture went out of business in the late 1980s. Paramount liquidated a large inventory of one sheets that were on the books of this owned by the studio company. He, my supplier of this poster was the largest buyer of these assets at that time AND THIS REALLY IS A STUDIO ISSUE ORIGINAL ONE SHEET SIZE MOVIE POSTER at least in the sense they were for this catalog , the SPECIAL EFFECTS catalog PARAMOUNT PICTURES owned , and after this venture went out of business my source bought these FRIDAY THE 13TH one sheets , and in fact every other Friday the 13th movie poster from part 1 to part 8 . All of the others were in fact original theatrical distribution one sheet leftovers THAT WAS WHAT THE CATALOG WAS USING FOR STOCK IN THE CASE OF PART 11 TO PART VIII, wether these part 1 were or not no one knew , but they are obviously NOT 41 inches tall and obviously NOT THE NSS VERSION. It is not a NSS version 27 BY 41 INCH poster !! so if your looking for that DO NOT BID . IT'S VERY VERY OBVIOUS UPON RECIEPT THIS IS A ORIGINAL PRINTING , IT IS NOT SPLOTCHY OR OUT OF FOCUSBUT DEAD ON CYSTAL CLEAR AND VERY OBVIOUSLY ORIGINAL. The 2003 Poster Price Almanac list Friday the 13th poster from $26-90 and the last 2 years this poster has been one of the fastest appreciating movie poster based on Ebay results I will not be able to list at these low minimum bids much longer. THE NSS VERSION ROUTINELY SELLS ON EBAY , AND HERITAGE , AND BRUCE HERSHENSON'S AUCTIONS FOR ABOUT $80 TO $90 so what exactly the many sellers asking $400 are thinking I don't know ? it's strange , but my minimum bid is very reasonable and the poster is in mint shape. This poster is exactly 27 by 40 inches and is in near mint condition or better, which means UNUSED!! No pinholes, no tape marksetc. T was a NSS service version that was distributed folded that was 41 inches tall , this is not that version and it is NOT A UNLICENSED REPRINT and this poster does have reprints of it out t and they are all 39 inches tall.
