We were fortunate enough to have recently acquired, from a private collector, several issues of The Friends Of Ginger Rogers Society Quarterly Magazines. These magazines were sent to paid members only, who subscribed to the Society. These magazines are rare and were not mass produced, by any means. We have only one each of the magazines we will be listing over the next few weeks. These are a must for the avid Ginger Rogers collector! With this auction, we are offering Volume 6, Number 1, First Quarter,November 2001-January 2002. This magnificent issue features Ginger’s film, “Carefree” as shown on the cover with a copy of the rare One Sheet poster. Inside, read the events behind the story of “Carefree”, along with wonderful photos taken during the filming and reviews when this great Fred & Ginger film was released in 1938. There is an article from The New York Times, pertaining to the death and estate of George Gershwin. There is also a tribute to Loraine Hart, a member and contributor to this fabulous publication, who passed away. This 24 page magazine is in solid Near-Mint condition.
