It can easily cut bamboo with a strike. AISI 1095 Carbon is a kind of high carbon steel, very hard and high flexibility. It is one of the best carbon which is used to make Japanese sword so far. This sword is not only made by 1095 carbon steel, also it is clay-tempered according to ancient method. so it looks there is a beautiful wave on the blade, gorgeous and charming. Furthermore, the blade was hand abrasived by multiple grade abrasive stone, totally according to the ancient process, then it goes through over 12 steps hand sharpening. So 1095 high carbon steel with clay tempered i s a high quality blade not only for battle but also for valuable collection. Guard: The guard (Tsuba) of the sword is IRON, compact and stong. can choose other style tsuba which are listed below. Handle: The handle (Tsuka) of the sword is wooden and covered by two slice real ray skin on the sides . then decorated by the copper Menuki and wrapped by silk ito. The tang of the sword is fixed by two bamboo nails (mekugi). Scabbard: The scabbard (Saya) of the sword is wooden, full warpped with Ray Skin. Silk Sageo also rolled both sides of Kurikata to match wrappings on Tsuka. you can change other saya which are listed below .
