Found in vintage condition, well used over the years but without significant fault, this is a 'green spot' stacking Ercol chair, originally designed to be used in schools, but this is the largest size produced, so basically a full size adult chair.There is the usual wear to the edges of the seats and the ends of the back rails, a few feint scratches here and there. There is no major damage nor splits. Generally, wobble free. Lovely grain and pattination within the elm seats. Beech legs. I would imagine that this chair has been revarnished at some point a long time ago. Also expect a few tiny ink and paint spots here and there, hard to notice. There is an area of discolouration in the middle of the seat, probably an ancient spill..Measures approximately 20.5" to top of back rail, 17.5" seat height, 15" seat width. Please compare to a modern dining chair should you wish to visualize the size.Collection please, from Hitchin, Herts. I would be happy to liaise with a courier of your choice.
