'Gale' 6 Dial Calendar Wall Clock-NR- Here is one of those clocks you just never see for sale. Originally patented Feb. 14, 1871, this clock tells alot of different information on its dials. It measures 30 inches long, 17 inches wide, and it has a 12 inch diameter dial. It is a timepiece, and it strikes the hour on a gong as most clocks do. But, it is geared to tell the calendar day of the month, month, the day of the week, with sunrise and sunset, a feature very few clocks will offer. This old movement is very complicated, with additional faceplate gearing added for these features. You can see the pendulum swing in the bottom of the clock, typical of the E.N. Welch Gale Wall Regulators. This clock would be a great addition to your collection, and it even looks authentic and original, but only you will know that it is not the original $5500 Gale Model. It even has a crack in the backboard to make it look very old. It is selling with No Reserve, so bid away and have this one in your home soon.
