For auction is an antique piece of Galle cameo glass. I believe this is from the early part of the 1900's. The piece is a small vase or bud vase. The colors are shades of brown and what might be called an amber color. It is about 4 1/4 inches tall and the vase weighs 116 grams (a little under 4 ounces). The base is about 1 1/5 inches in diameter and the top is 3/4 inches in diameter with an opening of just over 1/2 inches. The piece has an autumn design with tree limbs and leaves and several falling or fallen leaves. T are TWO Galle signatures. One is incised and the other is raised just slightly like the cameo glass decorations. The both appear near the bottom 1/3 of the piece in open areas of brown glass. I don't collect but I can see no defects in this beautiful piece of art glass. T is some residue from a price or inventory sticker and/or tape along the bottom of the piece.
