A. C. Morrow Rail Road Grocer Jar from Washington, Pa. Coming to you from Doc's Crocks, America's Source for Antique Stoneware , is this uncommon 2 Gallon Jar that reads, "A. C. Morrow, Rail Road Grocer, Washington, Pa." This jar was made in Greensboro, Pa, either by James Hamilton of Hamilton and Jones. Dating to the 1870's this Beauty Sports Top to Bottom Decoration. From the top down are two stripes, freehand vining, the company name and address surrounding an emblem, a freehand capacity number with three dashes on each side, and a bottom stripe. Very pretty cobalt blue on a light gray background clay for a strong contrast. Measures 12" tall. Excellent Condition. Some spots of glaze wear from use. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or repairs. Please view the full set of pictures as part of the description.
