Hi t and welcome............this auction is for a gathering of the sweetest little hand made turkeys, each one of them nestled in an old vintage mini tart pan. These turkeys would look great sitting in a row on a windowsill or down the center of your table. They can also be displayed separately tucked among your other prim Fall decorations. This gathering include five hand made turkeys. Each of the turkeys measures about 4" tall and their tail feathers measure a little over 6" across. The turkeys are made out of two different fabrics....two out of a tiny gold checked homespun and three out of a muslin print. I have given each of them tiny black seed beads for their eyes and they each have a hand stitched beak. When the sewing was completed on the turkeys, I sponged them with a coffee/vanilla mixture and rubbed them ground cloves and cinnamon. They have dried to a very prim appearance. Their tail feathers are cut out of an old vintage quilt....which I also stained with the coffee mixture and then stiffened to hold the shape of the feathers. Their tail feathers are hand stitched to their bodies. I have pinned, with a rusty safety pin, to the neck of each turkey, a rusty bell and either a rusty tin Fall leaf or a small round prim tag......the tags read "Eat Crow!", "gobble! gobble!" or "Give Thanks".
