Hello and welcome to my auction..... In this listing, I am offering a gathering of primitive hand made quilt hearts which I have placed inside of a vintage graniteware colander. This arrangement would look wonderful displayed in the center of your prim wood table, on top of an old dry sink or even tucked inside of a prim cupboard. The hearts can be displayed together, as they are, inside of the colander and can easily be displayed separately tucked in among your other primitive decorations! The five hearts are made out of an old vintage blue, pale red and cream print quilt. They measure approximately 6" across and 5-1/2" long and have been stuffed very firmly. When the sewing was completed on the hearts, I sponged them with a coffee/vanilla mixture with ground cinnamon and cloves added. They have dried to a perfectly prim appearance! I tied a piece of grungy jute twine around each heart....with a rusty tin heart tucked under each tie. I stitched a "tag" for this gathering of bowl fillers out of muslin fabric. I have stitched the words "simple pleasures" on the tag, put it through the prim process and stiffened it to hold its shape. The tag is pinned to one of the hearts.
