This is a layout I have had for a while now and had wanted to restore it but I haven't made a start yet and so it has to go. It has been a bit battered around and the buildings are a bit beaten up but may be re-useable There is the control panel which clips to the side of the layout and has 2 Kentrol electronic controllers which I understand are or were the bees knees. I have not tried them but they look in good order. There are a few switches missing and it would take a lot of brainpower to work out how it all worked It is constructed in 4 parts and of a light but sturdy wooden construction see photos. It is very dusty and the scenery constructed of rolled up paper and expanded polystyrene and therefore not heavy. The board sizes are 2 No main boards which are 1.85m (6' 2") by 80cm (2' 8") the deepest bit being about 8' but mostly about 4' The smaller sections are 1.2m (4 feet) long and taper from 80 cm (2'8") to about half that. There are no legs with it. The Trackwork is bullhead rail (possibly Peco) and mostly intact but will need a good clean. The points are hand made on wooden sleepers (I think) and are controlled by a lever frame hidden behind the long building. The levers operate another frame on the other side which then operate the points and tiny operating Ground Signals by a system of levers and thread - all very read more
