N-GaugeModel Railway Layout KNO2 (DCC Ready with Motorised Points) This is a double oval N-Gauge layout that is ready to be used with digital controller (DCC), controller not included. It features a 3 lane fiddle yard, and an end terminus section with 2 lanes. This has been setup in such a way whereby the operator can run their locos on the outer oval at the same time as performing shunting on the inner oval. The baseboard is built out of 6mm MDF wood, pine strips, and hardboard on the back (picture 7). This design is perfect for homes with limited space. When laid out, it measures 122cm width by 80cm depth. This makes it lightweight and easy to move around, the track has been nailed/pinned down to the wood, and it’s all brand new Peco, so no second hand parts used. The wires that provide power to the track have been trunked and hidden inside, and only appear track side briefly (picture 5). I have fitted a controller wire (picture 4) to the layout, so it’s a simple plug and play system. It also comes with a cover (picture 3) which magnetically connects to the top of the layout to protect it in transit and for ease of storage if you wanted to keep the cover.
