Up for auction is "GAY PARISIENNE BARBIE DOLL - 6th DOLL IN THE COLLECTORS' REQUEST COLLECTION BY MATTEL." The box is dated 2002. She is never removed from the box and is in absolutely mint condition. The back of the box reads.... "Gay Parisienne Barbie wears an authentic reproduction of the 1959 fashion. Every detail is wonderfully recreated. Her ensemble begins with a bubble dress in dark blue with tiny white polka dots. A striking matching bow accents the unique hemline. The white, faux fur stole and blue veiled headband hat add a note of extravagant glamour. Navy open toes shoes and a golden, velvety clutch are perfect, sophisticated accessories. Long, white gloves bring a demure touch. A strand of faux pearls graces her throat while matching earrings are the final, classic accent." The vintage look of Gay Parisienne Barbie contiunes with the reproduction of the nostaligic #1 Barbie doll, featuring the celebrated, side-glancing eyes. She is painted with classic red lipstick, finger and toenails. Her lustrous brunette hair features a retro style -- curled bangs and a pert ponytail. Overall the box is in excellent condition. No major flaws to report. There are some rub/wear marks on the dark blue part of the box lid. If you missed her the first time around, here is your chance to add her to your collection!
