THIS IS A SEVEN-DAY, NO RESERVE , AND INTERNATIONAL COLLECTIBLE BRIAR PIPE AUCTION. PLEASE ALL OF THE OTHER BEAUTIFUL, NEW, OR FULLY RESTORED AND RECONDITIONED HIGH GRADE COLLECTIBLE PIPES THAT I HAVE LISTED FOR AUCTION THIS WEEK ON EBAY! You are bidding on a lightly formerly enjoyed GBD Â"Bronze VelvetÂ" series pipe that was made in London, England, in the mid 1970Â's. This classic sixteenth bent "Prince" shaped pipe is stamped with the shape number 357. This pipe was the top of the GBD standard line at the time that it was carved. The stem is beautiful and extremely unique. Apparently GBD had employed a freeze dried process in order to get the swirled appearance that these Bronze Velvet stems possess. This pipe is as light as a feather, with a perfect balance and tremendous Â"hand feelÂ". This is going to be a very comfortable pipe to enjoy. I also believe that the beveled and rounded rim of the bowl will aid in providing a very even combustion in the tobacco chamber. This pipe has the serious potential to become your favorite and most cherished pipe in your entire collection. I had originally paid $100.00 for one of these wonderful pipes back in 1976. I still have that pipe today, as well as a few other Bronze Velvet series pipes. I can tell you that they are among my absolute favorite pipes, regardless of cost! If I had to keep just ten pipes, my first GBD Bronze Velvet pipe would be in that grouping! Even after over thirty years, I still donÂ't get tired of looking at the mesmerizing stem material, or enjoying the sweet and mellow experience that it provides. I can also tell you that over time, the natural wax colored bowl will darken to a gorgeous chestnut brown and this pipe will look even better, the more that it is enjoyed. What a cool, sweet, dry, and mellow experience awaits the winner of this wonderful pipe! are this beautiful pipe's dimensions: The overall length is about 6.125". The bowl height is about 1.375". The tobacco chamber is about 0.825" in diameter and tapers down the bowl's 1.25" inner depth. Capacity is about that of a Group 4 size Dunhill. This pipe weighs 33 grams. I have thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, rejuvenated, polished, and restored this extremely lightly formerly enjoyed classic English pipe both inside and out. The entire pipe is ultra crisp and clean. This pipe is ready to immediately enjoy right out of the box. Once again, this is a seven-day no reserve pipe auction. I do not believe in "Reserve" or "Buy it Now" prices.
