NAME: GBD Model: PREHISTORIC COMPANY: GBD WORK DONE: Cleaned, reamed, sanitized, waxed and buffed. Bowl has been reamed to a minimum of cake to get rid of most of the ghosting. Usually only takes one bowl to rebreak it in. Pipe has been completly refurbished to as close to like new as possible. It is ready to smoke as soon as you get it. It will give its new owner many hours of smoking pleasure. BRIEF HISTORY; Gbd was founded in 1850 in Paris by Grannevel, Bondier and Donninger. C J Verquet owned GBD form 1903 to 1970. Sometime in the `70's` Cadogan Co. (the Openheimer Group) took over. Prior to this time the pipes were stamped "London England" in a straight line even if they were made in France. The name of the Co. changed several times but GBD was well established so it was kept. The metal rondelles were discontinued in 1981 after the merger with Comoy. SIZE: Length: 6 1/4 in. It is finished in a deep mahogany color. It is a straight billiard shape with a straight round shank. It has a round saddle bit, clear stem with the metal rondelle logo on the left side.
