This is an immediately available, Buy It Now listing for one GE Variable Reluctance magnetic phono* cartridge, model VR-II, with a genuine GE 3 mil stylus for your 78 RPM discs, which shows little or no wear; plus the genuine GE 1 mil stylus for your mono 33 1/3 and 45 RPM discs, which shows little or no wear; both styli are mounted in standard baton type T-Bar with spring, locking collar, plus the red handle. Also included is a New In Package .7 mil diamond tip for your mono and stereo LP/45 RPM discs, plus a special mounting adapter to allow mounting this cartridge on a tonearm that does not have the hole drilled through the headshell. You can use the standard slide-in stylus assemblies with this push-in mounting adapter. This adapter can come in handy if you don't want to drill through a precious headshell or cartridge carrier. While the LP/45 styli should track well at about 4 grams, the 78 stylus may require 5-6 grams of tracking force, as recommended by GE way back when. Cosmetically, this classic monaural high fidelity phono* cartridge has some scratches and scuffs, plus some oxidation and possibly some slight denting on the front shielding alloy, as you can see in the pictures; but this will not hinder the fine playback quality possible with this classic cartridge pickup. Check out the pictures as what you see is what you get. The GE Variable Reluctance phono* cartridges were an essential factor in the post WWII home HiFi market eruption, assuring every home could have affordable high fidelity record reproduction capability. The General Electric VR-II pickups were GE's last mono phono* cartridges offered. Here is a chance to hear and own the legendary sound of this highly collectible monaural phonograph cartridge. Do not miss this rare opportunity. These vintage electronics turntable record player items will be packed very carefully for secure arrival. Good Luck Buying/Bidding !
