Gemmy Forest Green Tourmaline penetrating Quartz, Golconda Pegmatite, Escondido Mine, Governador Valdaras, Dolce Valley, Mina Gerais, Brazil This specimen is a textbook example of the exquisite, long and thin, forest-green crisp gemmy elbaite crystals growing inside and outside quartz crystals as referenced in MinDat. The two primary tourmalines of this striking piece measure 28 x 4 x 3 and 15 x 6 x 3 mm with the quartz crystal presenting dimensions of 40 x 16 x 16 mm.
