GENE COLAN CAPTAIN AMERICA #116 PAGE 12 - CAP & RED SKULL SWITCH BODIES Up for auction is this vintage Captain America #116 page 12 by Gene Colan and Joe Sinnott. This page is from the classic story arc where thanks to the Cosmic Cube, the Red Skull and Steve Rogers have switched bodies. This page is signed by Gene Colan in the upper right. The late Great Gene Colan is best known for his work for Marvel Comics , where his signature titles included Captain America , Daredevil , Iron Man , the cult-hit satiric series Howard the Duck , and The Tomb of Dracula , considered one of comics' classic horror series. He co-created the Falcon , the first African-American superhero in mainstream comics, and the non-costumed, supernatural African-American character Blade , which went on to star in a series of films starring Wesley Snipes . This 1969 work of art is in great condition and is on a sheet of 10.75"x 15.75" art board with and image area of 10"x 15". All the blacks are in ink and no markers were used. There is some white out or white paint that was used in 3 of the word balloons. There was also some white paint used in panels 2 and 6 on the top of the Skull's head. All are smooth and barely noticeable. Please note that a copy read more
