General Electric Model H-634Vintage 1939 General Electric model H634 3-band tube radio.This is a unique-looking radio which offers AM and two shortwave bands.It has pushbuttons that could be set for favorite stationsIt also has unusual vertical volume and tuning knobs next to the dial.The tuning dials, knobs and pushbutton pieces are in excellent condition.The tuning dial and pushbutton surrounds, which I believe are called Tenite, are in great shape. These are usually cracked or warped on these radiosThe wood case is in excellent condition.The back panel is very cool with the antenna built into itI usually do not test these radios because they should be checked out and have the caps replaced but I did fire this up just long enough to see that it is not dead...it lit up and there was no loud humAs with all radios of this vintage if you are looking for a daily player it should be checked out firstif you are looking for a fantastic display piece it is pretty much ready to goThis is a large, very impressive looking radio that's about 18" wide, 11" deep, and 11" high.and is quite heavy (sorry about the shipping cost)
