The chronology begins with 1970's Trespass , the start of a five-year journey that saw the band stage ever-more daring feats of progressive rock. The album features guitarist Anthony Phillips and drummer John Mayhew, who were replaced on 1971's Nursery Cryme by Steve Hackett and Phil Collins, respectively. That album found the new line-up artistically redefining itself on tracks including the ten-minute opener “The Musical Box,” “The Return Of The Giant Hogweed” and “The Fountain of Salmacis.” Foxtrot followed in 1972 and was a breakthrough for Genesis, reaching #12 on the British charts and introducing two tracks that would be concert staples for years: “Watcher Of The Skies” and “Supper's Ready.” DVD extras include performances on Belgian television's Rock of the 70s and onstage at the Piper Club in Italy .
