GENO AURIEMMA “TIES” UP CANCER! USA Basketball 2012 Olympic Coach, Basketball Hall of Fame and University of Connecticut Women’s Basketball Head Coach Geno Auriemma is “Tying One On” to fight cancer. Coach Auriemma has donated the Brioni tie (that he was provided by Mitchells of Westport). The tie was worn by Coach Auriemma during the Februray 22, 2011 game between UConn and Seton Hall, which was televised on CPTV. The retail value of the tie is $200, and will be autographed by Coach Auriemma upon request. ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS AUCTION WILL BE DONATED TO THE KAY YOW WBCA CANCER FUND. The Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund, in partnership with The V Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to finding a cure for all women’s cancers.
