GENUINE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE SUSPENSION CABLE How cool is this-your very own piece of the Golden Gate Bridge. This item consists of two pieces and is heavy-just under 5 pounds. The "cradle" base looks to be walnut and has some scratches from the heavy piece of cable. It is 5 1/4 inches wide, 4 1/4 inches deep and 1 3/8 inches tall. On the front of the base is a black and gold color plaque that reads: "GENUINE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE SUSPENSION CABLE." The same color and size plaque is on the back, it reads "Fireman's Fund 1988 Presidents Circle-San Francisco, California" The piece of cable assembly itself is painted a gold color and has two gold colored metal bands holding the 7 cables together. It is 3 inches in diameter and 4 3/8 inches long. A great and interesting piece and is in very good condition.
