Up for bid is a Genuine Quality Handmade Damascus Steel blank blade. All of our damascus blades are made from premium high grade damascus billets. Ready for handles. 8 1/2" Overall length 3 1/2" blade length Nice damascus pattern Pre drilled ready for pins and handles Blade hardness is 58HRC on the rockwell scale Blade thickness is 1/8" Damascus is created by forge welding multiple layers of steels into a solid block called a billet(1094 & 15N20 High Carbon Tool Steels)The billet is folded and re-welded several times to produce 200 layersPatterns are created by manipulating the steel during the forge welding process.
