Genuine, Match Worn "COLE #9" Manchester United 96-97 Squad Signed Shirt w/ COA RARE, ORIGINAL 'UMBRO' 1996-1997 SHIRT w/ PL CHAMPIONS BADGES & 'THEATRE OF DREAMS' EMBROIDERY 100% GENUINE AUTOGRAPHS w/ CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY 14 Autographs Inc. Sir. Alex Ferguson, Beckham, Yorke, Cole, Stam, Solskjaer etc. Thanks for looking at my auction. I am selling this on behalf of my partner who has decided to let this go to help pay towards our wedding. Obviously this is a reluctant sale, but hopefully this will go to a life-long United fan or a collector who can treasure this for years to come! This shirt was actually worn during the 1996-1997 season by Andy Cole; but not signed and donated by MUFC untill 1998. This was originally won at a charity raffle in late 1998... This was advertised as a 'Match Worn' shirt in the raffle, but we're not sure which match it was worn in. There is a unique difference between this shirt and the fans version; not as many differences as the modern day shirts though. It features an embrioded 'THEATRE OF DREAMS' at the bottom of the shirt rather then it being printed onto the shirt and doesn't include the 'ONLY FOOTBALL' the 'UMBRO' logos at the bottom of the shirts (as on the replica sold to fans). I would like to start by clarifying that all the autographs on the shirt are genuine and actually signed by they players themselves. Anyone who knows these autographs as well as we do will be able to tell it is genuine instantly. As collector's will know, MUFC only really started issuing COA's in around 2003. This has since been verified as authentic and issued with a certificate of authenticity from 'Sandberry' which shows a photo of the shirt, a signature map and confirms its authenticity for the winning bidders piece of mind. This is an incredible piece of memorabilia. Everyone who knows these signatures as well as I do will be aware how difficult it is the find a genuinely autographed shirt from this season, these are very rarely on eBay. I have seen a couple genuine one's on eBay before and they've gone for upwards of £600; though we thought it best to start the auction low and let the bidders decide it's value. The shirt itself is a rare, original, XL men's Manchester United shirt, NOT one of the mass produced 'retro' shirts that pop up. The original shirts are a collectors item on their own, but with it being signed by the squad and worn in a match by Andy Cole it a true one-off. I am more than happy to email the signature map to the winning bidder upon request. As mentioned already, the autographs on the shirt are 100% genuine and they include some of United's most iconic players as listed below. Sir.
