Up for auction is a RARE and GENUINE item of CUBAN ENTERTAINMENT and MUSIC memorabilia. You are bidding on an ORIGINAL and VINTAGE PHOTO depicting a GREAT image of LEGENDARY Cuban SON GROUP CHAPPOTTIN, probably mid of the 1950s. Chappottín is one of Cuba's top son groups. Son has very strong African roots. It originated in Oriente, was incubated in Matanzas, and came to Havana. Chappottín has been designated a national treasure in Cuba and originated in son innovator Arsenio Rodriguez' All Star band. Rodriguez handed it over to his trumpeter Felix Chappottín when he left for America for treatment. This RARE and GENUINE photo (without photographer credits) measures app. 7" x 9 1/4" inches and is in overall GOOD condition: edge & margin wear, some handwriting on backside.
