Quartz Geode Chihuahua, Mexico 6" x 4 1/8" x 3 1/4" - 2 lbs. - 15 oz. Beautiful Geode filled with reflective transparent Quartz crystals with lustrous faces and sharp edges. Front of opening is highly polished. Geode can be backlit to show crystals to best advantage. Internally Geode is over 3" deep. There is a mound of Quartz that projects down from the internal ceiling on the right side. There is an unusual feature of small Quartz crystals having formed on a thin vertical sheet extending down from the internal ceiling about 1/2" x 1/2" having a black border around that feature. I have not seen anything like it before. There is a small area in the left side cavity that has Quartz druzy and small Calcite formations.
