GEORGE CPOV (1909-1987) - "Red Barn With Cow" - Oil on Canvas Board Oil on canvas board of a red barn and a cow. Image size: 12" x 16"; framed: 19¼" x 23½". Painting is in great condition. Signed lower right. Number 584 in pencil and title "red barn with cow" on the back. George Cpov (1909-1987) was born in Lithuania. He was educated in Riga, Latvia; and in Yugoslavia. He and his wife, Klara, settled in Greenwich, Connecticut. He traveled across the United States to California as well as Mexico and painted w he traveled to. He was awarded First Award, Allied Artists of America 1968; Medal of Honor at the Kent Art Association in Connecticut, 1971. He was a member of numerous organizations along with Grand Central Galleries in New York. Besides teaching Art, he authored "Discovering Oil Painting" and co-authored "The Oil Painting Book" through Watson-Gupthill, New York.
