We have here an unusual and highly sought after GEORGE V coronation mug it is made of red terracotta earthenware clay which has been fired in a bright cobult blue colour with hand inscribed lettering extremely unusual, its made by the well known devon potter of C H BRANNAN OF BARUM,i have never seen a commemorative piece like this from this factory, after extensive research i cant find another like it even the VICTORIA AND ALBERT MUSEUM IN LONDON dont have one so in my opinion its a rare piece of commemorative ware, probally a gift made by one of the potters and never went into production, the condition is extremely good with no damage or restoration,it stands 7.8cm tall and is 7.8cm in diameter, sure to be popular with serious collectors.Offered here with NO RESERVE.
