First please note; orange is difficult to show on a monitor accurately. This orange is loud, almost neon orange.Very unusual 1962 painting by popular artist George Crionas (1925-2004). This work is on fibre board measuring 9.5 by 25 inches. It is titled in the lower left corner "TAMBOO". Signed and dated in the lower right corner "CRIONAS-62". Done in garish orange, lime green and blue! Overall nice strong colors and appearance with several condition issues: The white portions have fine crackle, some specks of loss and stains. There are some scratches across the surface. The frame is poor though likely original as I have seen one other sort of similar work also dated 1962 in the same type of frame. Overall dimensions framed are 12.5 by 28 inches. Again the frame is in overall poor condition.This piece is exactly as found and I will leave it to the new owner to decide on conservation or enjoy as is.
