This bit is known as the "George Glascock" cutting horse design bit. George was a Texas cutting horse trainer and this is the type bit he used.This bit was made by Crockett and I believe Renalde. The mouthpiece is stamped with the Crockett and what looks like Renalde. What is unique is I have had a couple of these bits and normally the stamp is on the shank with the CR --this is not the case with this bit.This bit is flaking off the silver cover so will need a little handy work to remove the flakes off the mouthpiece. No bends, breaksMouthpiece is 5" and the bit measures about 6 1/2" from top to bottom not counting the ringThe rein ring on this bit is a loose ringA well balanced bit that most horses get along with very wellThank you
