An original Disbound UK Act of Parliament,dated 1769 regarding "Encouraging the Growth and Culture of Raw Silk in His Majesty's Colonies or Plantations in America " the Act is six pages plus a decorative frontispiece and includes details regarding duties;penalties for entering Foreign sale and calling it American Silk;details of marks,weights etc of each bale;disputes etc etc.Generally very good condition.Approx 12in x 8in
