Gorgeous George and Martha Lamp - Vintage from the 1040's - 1950's Hand Painted - No two are exactly alikeBeautiful pale green with gold accents. The green has an light aqua green tone to it.Condition: The lamp has an older cord and we recommend that it be updated and rewired. Not guaranteed to work without rewiring. This porcelain urn style lamp is in very nice vintage condition - no cracks or chips. They have more to do with the time period and clothing fashion of the period than they do with George and Martha Washington. Though the couple does resemble George and Martha, they actually represent wealthy members of the king's court. The original paintings that these scenes are taken from were created by the French artist Jean-Honore Fragonard (1732-1806).
