George Platt Lynes, 1907~1955 Original Nude Silver print photograph of Eugene Loring 7+1/2"inches x 9"inches from the estate of Douglas Coudy, accomplished Dancer and also Choreographer for the Copacabana night club in New York City. Hosted a Television program in the 1950's, worked in the theatre and with some of the early R & B groups as choreographer. an exquisite vintage image, with light silvering on the right edge,( see photos ) in Excellent condition, with a slight bend with partial crease in the upper left corner, George Platt Lynes studio stamp on back an arresting image of the handsome & brilliant young dancer, nude, with a cigarette a fine piece from this important American photographer ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- published in the New York Times, September 1, 1982 Eugene Loring, the dancer and choreographer who created ''Billy the Kid,'' an American ballet classic, died Monday in Kingston, N.Y., after a long illness.
