This is a very fine capstan inkwell in sterling silver in excellent condition. Hallmarks are crown for Sheffield, sterling lion, date letter k for 1927/28. Hinged lid also marked with lion. Makers mark is W&H for Walker and Hall. There is a blue glass liner in the well. The weighted base is felt lined. Size 60 mm high, 128 mm diameter. Total weight is 319 grams Condition is very good with no dings. one tiny chip on the liner. Hinge very good too.
