Gerber Harsey Air Frame Tactical Knife Description and Condition This pristine Gerber Airframe No.06941 is a custom-quality, large tactical liner lock that is 5 inches long closed, 8.875 inches long open, and weighs 4.1 ounces. The handle is aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, the blade is 154 CM stainless steel, and the liner-lock spring, and pocket clip are Titanium alloy. This knife is one of a limited edition of 1,000 aluminum-alloy-handled pieces that were produced as a follow on to the ill-fated, Titanium-handled model, which saw a production run of 1,800 pieces. As a user, this knife is superior to the Titanium-handled one, since it weighs almost 1 ounce less. As a collectible, it is more rare, with 1,000 versus 1,800 pieces produced. These knives are harder to find today, as most have passed into strong hands from dealers who bought the closeouts several years ago. Given the history of discontinued American-Made Gerber Knives this top-quality piece is likely to increase dramatically in value over the next few years. Like the Bench Mark Rolox and Gerber Paul this is an investment-grade knife. Retail price was $240 several years ago. This is a very smoothly operating, pristine example with plain blade. Comes with original box and papers. Made in USA.
