I AM CURRENTLY THINNING OUT MY MILITARY COLLECTION IN ORDER TO FINANCE A HOME IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. APPARENTLY, EACH ONE OF MY FOUR DAUGHTERS NEEDS THEIR OWN BEDROOM. PLEASE SEE OUR OTHER AUCTIONS RIGHT NOW FOR ADDITIONAL ITEMS THAT I HAVE COLLECTED OVER THE LAST 30 PLUS YEARS. You are bidding on the pictured German M40 Helmet shell. I bought this a few years ago from a guy at a gunshow that was selling aged or "stressed" German helmets that he had painted. He took original shells and painted them. Then he would make them look old by artificial means. (Chipping the paint and such????) AGAIN, the paint is not original. I was told that the shell was an original M40 WW II shell. The chin strap looks to be a reproduction. I do not know about the liner band. This helmet displays GREAT!! AGAIN, NOT ORIGINAL PAINT OR CHIN STRAP. Shipping United States Postal Service Priority Mail with full insurance and a confirmation of delivery will be 8.00 dollars.
