GERMAN WW2 WEHRMACHT REENACTOR UNIFORM LARGE-XL, ARMY MAJOR.Tunic-jacket , breeches, black leather belt, shirt,tie and suspenders, included, in this auction.TUNIC-JACKET: Grey tunic, thick wool, from a German distributor, made in Sweden. Has a wool and cotton liner.COLORING: The color is grey but looks "greenish", in some light and contrast angles.The stamped size of the tunic is " 1940 100" . I measured the seams to be a 45" chest and the neck is 18.5 ". Sleeves are 34" ( can be let out another 1" ) and the back measures 32.5", the front, 33.5". The stamped size indicates the date issued and I believe it to be accurate. Had to be well made and well stored, to look this good, some 67+ years later. Better than a reproduction, made in Asia last month, in the sense that it was made in Sweden, during World War Two. So the old style, thick wool and cut to the tunic, defiinitely has a WW2 look and feel to it. Made in Sweden, a converted Swedish Army M-39 tunic-jacket.( probable date the version was first issued) It is similar looking to the German WW2 M-36 and the older M-32, Army tunics which had dark green or black collars.T are 14 buttons on this tunic, 13 are modern German pebble buttons, 1 is Swedish, under the front collar. The German buttons, are tinted a little more grey, to match the look, of the Wehrmacht field uniforms. White piping for the collar insignia and shoulder boards, are Army, Infantry.T are some differences between the Swedish and German tunic-jackets, noting the Swedish tunics, have two pockets, on the back and less buttons, on the front. The German M-36's has four full view pockets on the front, no pockets on the back.The Swedish has two full view pockets, two hidden, on the front and two full view pockets, on the back.The pockets on the back of this jacket, were removed, for a closer look to German jackets. The tunic-jacket, is fashioned to look as similar as possible, to the M-36, with a couple added buttons, for effect. If you are a reenactor purist and must have exact specifications to German uniforms, then this isn't what you want. Look for the WW2 Wehrmacht, uniform reproductions, that match every detail. I have one of these uniforms in my store, CRAZING ABOUT COLLECTING. However, if you want a similar look, for a lot less chicken feed, then this may be your deal. BELT :45-100, is a German police belt, large to XL in size.The waist range is 36" to 42" easy to use, with a good fit to the tunic-jacket.The police belts, have a very similar look, to the WW2, officer belts. BREECHES : Also included, are E. German Army breeches, size m-52. Medium to large in size, the waist measures 37" and the inseam, 28", fabric is wool- gabardine mix, with three suspender rings. The condition is unissued, 1980's vintage, excellent shape, don't appear to have been worn at all.SUSPENDERS, SHIRT AND TIE: Included also, are German, grey suspenders, with attachments, to hook onto, the suspender rings, of the breeches.The suspenders, made of a canvas web material, are in unissued condition, probably surplus, in storage for years. A long sleeve, green, Swedish army shirt, is included, 100% cotton, new, size large- long.A black, Swiss army tie, is included. PROPS NOT INCLUDED. The holster, badges, button ribbon, etc. , are NOT included in this auction.
