Rare German stoneware beer stein mug featuring Three raised relief panels Cobalt blue glaze in background. First panel one shows three german elves carrying beer through the woods. Panel two seated at a table and enjoying a beer. The third panel are the elves playing by a bridge and drinking On the top of the stein says "Compliments of Davis & Weimescary Co." Under that it says "Ein Sandhass, wle ich meine! erschrecki denkeglerseln" At the base it says "nun wiinsch'lch dir stolsnenne, meiu frounel, was willst dun"The base of mug shows is imprinted with "Germany" and "9 or 6" "another mark". Measures 4 1/2" high x 3" base diameter. and has a 1/4 litre capacity, marked near the handle. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or glaze crazing.
