13 (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with three different faces (one crying with blue glass eyes, modeled tears, closed mouth, one laughing with glass eyes and closed mouth with painted teeth, and one sleeping with modeled closed eyelids), attached to original body with carton torso containing pull-string mama-crier, composition and wooden jointed limbs, and cardboard hood that hides the two faces not in play. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: C.B. (shoulders). Comments: Carl Bergner, circa 1892, when knob at top of hood is turned the various faces are revealed. Value Points: all original condition, the doll wears original muslin chemise and matching lace-edged bonnet, has working pull-string mama crier. Estimate: 1200/1700
