Solid domed bisque head with flanged neck, painted baby hair under wig, tiny blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, lightly tinted brows, accented nostrils of upturned nose, closed mouth with fretful expression, muslin body, composition arms, oilskin legs, cotton dress. Condition: bisque excellent, body not original and worn. Marks: c. 1924 by E.I. Horsman Co. made in Germany. Comments: Tynie Baby, for Horsman and the American market, circa 1924. Value Points: most appealing expression and fine bisque. From the Seeley Family Doll Collection, the story of this doll, Little Grump and how it came to be a family favorite, is amusingly related in Mildred Seeleys autobiography. Estimate: 600/900
