This is a really nice German boot knife that I believe dates back to World War 2 or before, as it is stamped "SOLINGEN, GERMANY" and not east or west Germany. It also has the look of many German knives of that era. Knife is in good condition, with the blade having slight discoloration but no significant rust or pitting. It has a little silver inlay design of an eagle attacking a snake. It is separating from the piece and needs to be reconnected. Part of it is bent over and needs to be repositioned. I think the inlay is complete (if it isn't it's only missing a very small piece) but am not sure and don't want to play with it as I may screw it up. I leave that to the buyer; not the screwing up but the repair. I tend to be all thumbs. This is all I know about this, however I'm sure collectors will know a lot more, which I'd love to hear. Winning bidder pays $9.00 S&H. Thanks for viewing and
