GERMAN CAROUSEL WITH KID WRAPPED ANIMALS Eleven animals including elephants, tigers, lions, giraffe, zebra and others (missing one animal)with hand painted highlights to the kid leather coverings, set side by side around the canvas covered carousel, the roof, with bead work fringe, is decorated with assorted flags on top, the middle decorated with mirrored panels, on a revolving base. Height 22, diameter 20 inches. Provenance: Said to have been bought by the consignors family in Germany just before World War I.
