***Eye Brand Trappers***The Pride Of Texas***Now And Then*** Only 300 sets were made and numbered in Solingen, Germany by Carl Schlieper in 1982. They were made on the 4 1/8" "J" frame. One trapper has the polished brown bone handles which was never used on the "J" trapper before. It is a different bone than the brown bone used on the 50's trappers. The other trapper has cracked ice handles (Schlieper called it "like pearl" in their catalogues)which had not been used on the "J" pattern since the early 60's. Both trappers have stainless blades which were never used before on the "J" pattern.***The 1st. knife is gold etched with a rocket ship, "To The Moon, 1of 300", and has cracked ice handles to represent "Now". The 2nd. knife is gold etched "From The Alamo, 1 of 300", and has bone handles to represent "Then". The SN 123 is stamped on each knife. They are mint condition in a hard display box with the original sleeve.***This set is mentioned on page 698 in the Guide to Collector Knives, Ninth Edition, by James Parker. (Marek is misspelled)
