Survivor’s Stamps: You are bidding on a German made Facsimiles of the 13 Newspaper stamps of the 1875 and 1895 series. 48 different examples of facsimiles made in Germany contemporary with or just after the newspaper stamps were discontinued. One set is overprint "Facsimiles" in small Blue letters. the other set is overprinted in very large Black letters. Some are both overprinted and inscribed "Falsch" in the actual stamps design. Others are without the overprint. These stamps were sold quite openly as facsimiles by German Stamp Dealers around 1900. Please bid based on what is shown in the images! I started to collect stamps March 2014. I am recovering from a Bone Marrow Transplant and I find the EBay auctions and the Stamp Hobby exciting and fun. I have been buying stamp albums and collections, as something to keep me busy during my treatments. I am keeping the areas that interest me and I am selling the rest on EBay. I am by no means an expert on stamp condition and identification. I am assuming that the collections that I buy, from reputable stamp dealers are classified correctly in the albums and stockbooks.
