This is a BEAUTIFUL example of a German HALLER TAMBOUR Mantle Clock in wonderful condition. WITH QUARTER HOUR WESTMINSTER CHIMES! It was made in Germany circa 1910. German clocks were the best made in the world with high quality craftsmanship. The German clocks in our collection have not required any servicing and have kept perfect time for many, many years. This particular model is in BEAUTIFUL, ALL ORIGINAL condition. The clock is a dark wood (probably mahogany) with beautiful classic style construction. It has an 8-day time, chime and strike movement, which is a high end movement and is very heavy which chimes 4 times on the 1st quarter, 8 times on the half-hour, 12 times and the third quarter and 16 times on the hour (with the Westminster Tune) then counts the hour! The clock chimes on perfectly tuned beautiful sounding mellow chime rods. This clock measures 8 ¾ inches high, 17 ¼ inches wide and 5 ¾ inches deep with heavy duty construction throughout. The clock has the original pendulum. The dial is in near perfect condition. Runs great! Complete with a key to wind it. The case is in great condition. An outstanding high quality German Westminster Clock. These antique clocks amaze me - could you imagine any other consumer product still working perfectly after nearly 90 years! And the truly amazing thing it is ready for the next 100 years, and will probably run indefinitely with a little tender loving care. Antique Clocks are a Fine Investment .
