Peter Duemler Crown Royalty Stein byThewalt This is a large impressive beer stein that stands 11.25 inches tall. Made in Germany by Thewalt, this has the distinction of being in the prestigious Peter Duemler Series. Made from stoneware with a raised-relief and handpainted. The five-panel scene on this beerstein depicts King Charlemagne, his guards and royal subjects. The flared base is adorned with lion heads and crowns. This stein was originally modeled by Peter Duemler. It is entirely handpainted using TWELVE different glazed colors. A very massive, masculine piece. This stein body is a limited edition of 10,000 with about 1000 being produced in this exact version with the ornate crown pewter lid and the gray background. The condition is excellent with no chips or cracks. It comes with the original Thewalt and Peter Duemler tags. This stein was purchased from the personal collection of an individual who owned a gift shop. It has been stored since its purchase and has never been displayed in a home environment. The retail cost of this stein ranges from $186 - $225 in gift and stein shops. This stein is perfect for the serious stein collector and is just in time for Oktoberfest.
