Up for auction I have a rustic old German Pewter Beer Tankard. This is a unique piece and would be a very appreciated addition to the pewter lovers collection. This tankard is in used condition. I believe it may possibly be an antique, though I have no documents to verify that. This item is sure to bring much joy to its new owner. **This piece stands perfectly straight contrary to my poor photographs. DESCRIPTION: The inlay depicts the very rustic WAIDMANN'S HEIL scenes. T is a gorgeous aged patina finish on this tankard. The finish on the inside is dark. It may possibly brighten up with some good TLC and polishing. The first scene features 2 crossed rifles over a bullseye target. T is also other various items necessary for a safe and successful hunting adventure. Beneath the 2 rifles, t is a banner that says WAIDMANN'S HEIL. The second scene features a little cherub with wings shooting a bow and arrow. The third scene features a hunter with horse standing by blowing a bugle. T is a farm off in the background. The fourth scene shows another cherub sitting on a mandolin style instrument and is playing a flute. Around the base, t is a band with a rustic ribbed style motif. See picutres! Around the brim, t is a wide band of smooth pewter which is suitable for engraving to commemorate that special occasion or holiday.The handle on this tankard is made of wood. It is securely attached to the body of the tankard with 2 heavy pewter fittings. This item is sure to be a treasure for it's new owner. The pictures don't do it justice.
