A very rare ww2 photo.5" x 7"Besides it being a interesting picture the photo itself is special because its a press photo as it was released for publication.On the back it has the official text as written by the German propaganda office.It was then send across the world.This one ended up in amsterdam, I dont know if it was published.But thats what makes the back of the photo as interesting as the front.Onthe front you see 3 elderly people in local dress in yugoslavia.On the back it has all sorts of information.Thebit of paper on the back is the official text that went with the photo, the Dutch press was rarely allowed to make up their own texts (they liked changing it to reduce the propaganda value).My german isnt great but s my translation; Lovely yugoslaviaPopulation during a conversation19-3-41Presse Hoffmann Hoffmann was of course the most famous photographer in Germany, Hitlers personal photographer.I am selling more German press photos, they came from a man who used to work for the photo department of a Dutch newspaper.They received these kinds of photos every day and then decided wich ones to use, then the occupation of the Netherlands began of course they had less to say about which ones to choose...Anyway, I have several auctions selling these propaganda press photos, so make sure to check those out as well.They are historically
