For your consideration I am offering this very unique German made Hunting Knife with sheath...the blade is marked boldly...SHERIFF KNIFE...at the guard on the same side are the numbers...13169...the blade at the guard on the other side is marked...SOLINGEN GERMANY...beside this marking is a triangular design/logo with a pick axe...pic ax and is marked...PIC...NEAT STACKED LEATHER AND POLISHED ALUMINUM...VERY SOLID AND WELL BUILT KNIFE...t really isn't much wear showing...blade has a few areas of discoloration to the metal...cutting edge does not look like it has been sharpened...looks like a couple areas of very shallow pitting which could have been from the time of manufacture...the handle end was made in a way this could be taken apart easily for service/maintenance/repair...t is a brass nut on a stud as pictured...the sheath is in very nice condition but does seem a little light weight...the sheath is marked...MADE IN GERMANY...stamped/punched into the leather...the body of the sheath has an embossed antlered animal...deer? or something...very neat looking...the back of the sheath does have the previous owners markings...a little of the red stitching on the sheath has come undone...both should still show very nicely as they are...knife length is 10 1/2" total...handle is 4 1/4"...enlarge available pictures for final description
