A Rare German Sniper Scope, a Zeiss Jena Zielacht, these 8X scopes were not used aas often as the 4 and 6 power scopes. These were mostly used in the far north w the open expanses and low light conditions made them a better choice because of the large objective lens ability to gather light and the longer distances to targets and by Gebirgsjager, mountain troops, who often had greater distances to the enemy as in mountainous terrain, only the high points were usually occupied, meaning a long shot across a mountain valley and low light conditions.Condition is excellent. High turret mounts, and rings and scope all without rust except for a scattering of tiny pitting. Bases have a small eagle and munafacturer number 74108. The lens is perfectly clear.
